CisionScoop: David Hatch joined TheDeal as a senior editor overseeing mergers and acquisitions, regulation and antitrust. He comes from Acuris Global, where he served as the senior technology reporter. Previously, he was a correspondent at Citiscope.
CisionScoop: WMC-TV in Memphis, Tennessee welcomed Brandon Richard as weekend morning anchor and weekday reporter. Richard was most recently the weekend evening anchor for WSIL-TV in Harrisburg, Illinois, and has also reported for KCTV-TV in Kansas City, Missouri.
Sarah Westwood is now a White House correspondent for CNN. She previously held the same title at the Washington Examiner since 2016. Before that, Westwood served as an investigative reporter for the Examiner.
CNBC’s Squawk Alley brought on reporter Morgan Brennan as a co-anchor. Brennan joined the network in 2013 and has covered manufacturing, defense, transportation and infrastructure. She previously reported for Forbes.
Edward Lawrence is the newest addition at the Washington bureau for Fox Business Network, serving as a general assignment reporter covering economic and political breaking news. He previously freelanced for NBC, CBS, MSNBC and Global News Canada, and additionally served as a reporter and fill-in anchor for KLAS-TV in Las Vegas.
David Mark joined Bloomberg Law as managing editor for privacy and data security. He comes from Morning Consult, where he served as executive editor. Mark previously worked as a contract breaking news editor for CNN, senior editor at POLITICO and editor in chief of Campaigns & Elections.
The New York Times’ Still Processing podcast welcomed Neena Pathak as its new producer. Pathak was most recently a producer for Buzzfeed’s Another Round, as well as an associate producer for American Public Media. She also spent time as associate editor for the Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism.
The Des Moines Register promoted Kathie Obradovich to opinion editor, after serving as a political columnist for nearly a decade, and political editor before that. She also serves as a correspondent for Iowa Press on Iowa Public Television.
Daniel Sarcos and Ana Maria Canseco exited Telemundo‘s weekday morning show, Un Nuevo Dia. Sarcos spent seven years with the program, and has become the host of his own show in the Dominican Republic. Canseco had been with Un Nuevo Dia for five years.
Statescoop welcomed Benjamin Freed as the new technology editor. He covers state and municipal decisions related to technology that powers government services. He previously spent nearly five years as a writer for Washingtonian Magazine, and was the editor in chief for DCist beforehand.
